Mana Rabiee — I’m an Iranian-American multimedia journalist and documentary filmmaker in Washington D.C. I currently produce and report video features for the Voice of America in both Farsi and English. Prior to the VOA, I was a staff reporter at WAMU-FM, the local National Public Radio member station in Washington D.C. I have lived and worked in many countries including Canada, France, the U.K. and Iran. I am currently in post-production on a feature-length documentary film about pre-teens who volunteer with the Basij — Iran’s controversial government militia. The film received project development and production grants from the Rotterdam and Pusan film festivals.
